Mainstream Engineering is seeking a responsible individual to handle activities relating to the tracking of open purchase orders to ensure timely deliveries. Typical duties include:
- Supplier Communication: Sending regular emails to vendors requesting updates, specifically asking for the latest status, estimated dispatch dates, and confirmation of receipt
- Proactive Monitoring: Reviewing outstanding orders (on a daily and weekly basis) to prevent shortages and provide updates to Production and R&D
- Managing Delays: Identifying, communicating, and managing risks associated with delays, requesting revised timelines from suppliers
- Updating Systems: Ensuring the ERP or PO system reflects accurate information
- Systematizing the Process: Using automated reporting to reduce manual "chasing" and improve efficiency
- Tracking: Track shipments and monitor delivery schedules
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong verbal and written skills for interacting with suppliers and internal teams
- Excellent organization skills are required
- A persistent approach to resolving supply chain issues, managing multiple tasks under pressure, and meeting strict deadlines
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge in ERP systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle), Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Generally, 1–3 years of experience in purchasing or administrative support is preferred.
