Position Summary
We are seeking a talented, hands-on R&D chemical engineer to contribute to a diverse set of clean-tech research projects involving such topics as: thermochemical biofuel production, biofuel upgrading, wastewater recycling, clean biomass combustion, and gas-to-liquids conversion. We are interested in applicants at all degree levels with specific experience in, but not limited to, any of the following areas:
We are seeking a talented, hands-on R&D chemical engineer to contribute to a diverse set of clean-tech research projects involving such topics as: thermochemical biofuel production, biofuel upgrading, wastewater recycling, clean biomass combustion, and gas-to-liquids conversion. We are interested in applicants at all degree levels with specific experience in, but not limited to, any of the following areas:
- Design of bench-scale and pilot-scale reactor systems (experience with biomass fast pyrolysis highly desirable)
- Chemical characterization techniques such as gas chromatography and spectroscopy
- Hands-on experience in a chemical laboratory setting including instrumentation and wet-lab experience
- Mechanical experience; as would be used in the conception, design and fabrication of custom laboratory apparatus
- Other areas include LabView programming, electronic systems assembly, experimental design, and instrumentation
- Job may also include rotations on product development teams for new chemical-related HVAC/R products
- We are looking for problem solvers who identify innovative solutions to real world problems; applicants must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in groups
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred)
- Work experience (2 years)
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required due to US Government ITAR restrictions
- GPA > 3.3 at all degree levels
- Experience in a hands-on laboratory environment
- Mechanical aptitude for fabrication of custom laboratory apparatus
