Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting floors regularly
- Handle cleaning agents and chemicals safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuring safe storage and disposal
- Operate various cleaning equipment including vacuums, floor buffers, and industrial cleaning tools efficiently and safely
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks when moving furniture or equipment, adhering to manual handling safety protocols
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
Qualifications
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or hospitality environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, sanitation standards, and industrial cleaning practices
- Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while adhering to safety guidelines and SDS instructions
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, bending, and prolonged standing or walking
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation including vacuums and floor care machines
- Understanding of hotel housekeeping management procedures and hotel emergency protocols is advantageous
