About The Role
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for ensuring that Mainline consistently delivers projects safely, on schedule, and profitably through disciplined operational leadership of project management and field execution. The VP of Operations owns project execution and operational performance across the organization. This role ensures that the Project Management team and field execution operate in a structured and accountable manner that supports the company’s financial performance and customer relationships.

140,000 - 155,000 USD per year(Greenville, SC)

About The Role

What You'll Do
Project Profitability Management
- Oversight of project financial performance
- Monitoring project cost performance
- Ensuring timely and accurate project reporting
- Ensuring operational data is submitted timely to support financial reporting, billing, and subcontractor payments
- Ensuring change orders are identified and captured appropriately
- Maintaining awareness of project performance
- Identifying operational risks early
- Ensuring problems are escalated and resolved quickly
- Leading operational problem-solving with project managers and field leadership
- Establishing clear expectations for project managers
- Monitoring PM performance and accountability
- Ensuring project managers maintain accurate project forecasts
- Coaching and developing PM leadership capability
- Pre-job planning and project kickoff
- Weekly project review meetings
- Project financial forecasting
- Field production reporting
- Project closeout procedures
- Maintaining visibility with major customers during project execution
- Ensuring operational expectations are understood and met
- Addressing customer concerns related to project delivery
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Accounting, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a VP of Operations role or similar financial leadership position.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
