What You'll Do
You're the heartbeat of the front end. Every customer passes through you — and how they feel when they leave is largely up to you. Beyond ringing people up, you'll keep your area running like clockwork and pitch in wherever the store needs you.
Day to day, that means:
- Greeting every customer with a warm, genuine attitude that makes them feel welcome
- Processing transactions quickly and accurately while following store policies
- Keeping the Service Desk and register area clean, stocked, and organized
- Conducting price checks and assisting with age-restricted purchases (alcohol, tobacco, etc.)
- Safeguarding the register and store assets with care and integrity
- Tackling downtime tasks — rolling quarters, stocking bags, organizing tags — so the front end stays sharp
- Staying familiar with produce and common grocery items so you can actually help when someone asks
- Showing up as a dependable, respectful teammate every single shift
