Mainelli Wagner & Associates, Inc. is a multi-disciplined growing civil engineering firm in search of a Land Surveyor Crew Chief based in Norfolk, Nebraska. Candidates should be honest, hardworking, team players that are willing to learn. Candidate will be working as the party chief in various field surveying and construction staking activities.
Responsibilities:
• Perform tasks as directed by the Survey Team Manager.
• Examine previous records and evidence to ensure data accuracy
• Collaborate with Engineers for project requirements
• Perform fieldwork related to construction boundary surveying, staking, and topographic surveys.
• Set up and operate survey equipment (Total Station and GPS).
• Download, Edit, and E-Mail survey data.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Technical school, Surveying, or related field preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability of read and interpret construction plans
• Minimum of 2 years of land surveying experience
• Able to travel during the work week with the occasional overnight travel
• Willingness and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrain
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Strong math and computer skills preferred
