Performs receptionist, registration, and clerical duties to support patient care with a strong focus on customer service.
Job Description
- Greet patients and visitors, answer and route calls, and provide clear, friendly assistance
- Schedule and reschedule appointments using the electronic scheduling system
- Register patients and verify demographic, billing, and clinical information for accuracy and completeness
- Verify insurance benefits and, when needed, obtain precertification or authorization
- Determine and collect point of service payments, including copays and deductibles, or refer to financial counseling
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and protect patient privacy
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to support smooth patient flow and reduce delays
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable using computers with accurate data entry
- Clear, professional communication in person and by phone
- Reliable attendance and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
