MTI is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. For this reason, it will be necessary for the prospective candidate to be a point of contact for external auditors.
The prospective candidate will play a strategic role here at MTI by supporting budget development, monitoring processes, managing vendor relations and the P2P process, and carefully considering system and procedural improvements.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Support development of periodic financial reports to the MTI Board and its Finance Committee.
- Perform reconciliations between accounting software and program database financial records.
- Support compliance with state and federal grant requirements.
- Take on special projects related to these major job functions, as needed.
- Assist with audit preparation and grant-specific financial reporting to state and federal funders.
- Track grant expenditures against approved budgets.
The successful candidate for this position must have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and/or Government Accounting Standards Board
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- Teamwork Skills
- Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT and Blackbaud Grantmaking software experience a plus along with Microsoft Excel.
Federal Monitoring and Reporting Experience Preferred
