We are seeking an organized, customer-focused Parts & Service Associate to support a busy service department. This full-time, temp-to-hire role is responsible for sourcing parts, managing repair orders, maintaining inventory, and serving as a key connection between customers, technicians, vendors, and management. What You'll Do
- Operate the parts counter and source parts for active and scheduled repair jobs.
- Assist technicians and customers in identifying and obtaining the correct parts quickly and accurately.
- Open, update, and manage repair orders and job sections within the TMT system.
- Work closely with the Shop Foreman and Service Manager to support workflow and maximize shop productivity.
- Coordinate with the Purchasing Manager to order parts, monitor inventory levels, and maintain shop supplies.
- Receive, stock, organize, and track inventory while ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Research parts availability, pricing, and alternative sourcing options to support timely repairs.
- Process returns, warranty items, and vendor communications as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized parts room and warehouse area.
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn shop management software.
- Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, receiving, or parts management is helpful.
- Experience working in a service, automotive, trucking, or industrial environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive parts, diesel trucks, or commercial vehicle systems would be helpful but is not required.
- Familiarity with TMT or similar shop management systems is beneficial but not required.
