What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Educators (Teachers & Paraprofessionals) position at Maine School Administrative District No 75?
TEACHERS: $158/day
PARAPROFESSIONALS: $21.85/hour
Substitute Teachers & Paraprofessionals provide coverage for educator absences on an as needed basis throughout the district, grade levels, and content area. Substitute Teachers will follow sub plans, as left by the respective Classroom Teacher. Substitute Paraprofessionals will support students.
Substitutes can select where, when and how often they want to work. The opportunity to experience the role of teacher or to be part of the profession is a benefit as well. Best of all is the opportunity to work with students!
REQUIREMENTS:
- TEACHERS: 2 Years (60 credits) of college level courses
- PARAPROFESSIONALS: High School Diploma
- CHRC (Criminal History Records Check) or applicable certification with the Dept. of Education
- Speak clearly, communicate effectively, accurately hear and see
- Complete with precision and safety all physical duties, including upper and lower body functions, reaching, lifting (at least 10-20 lbs.), bending, twisting, stooping, and climbing stairs
- Complete with accuracy eye-hand coordinated tasks.
