Serving Maine's Midcoast communities of Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Harpswell, and Topsham, MSAD 75 is home to over 2,350 students and more than 600 faculty and staff members.
MSAD 75 is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Kindergarten Teacher at Bowdoin Central Schoolto join our vibrant educational community beginning March 29, 2026.
PAY: $268.43/Day
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Exhibit passion and a commitment to helping all students learn at a high level.
- Contribute to a school culture of appreciation, collegiality and innovation.
- Utilize skills to be successful with intensive collaboration in a team-based approach to teaching and learning.
- A strong understanding of research-based Literacy and Mathematics instruction at the primary level, and the deep understanding of early literacy development and the components of balanced literacy preferred.
- Strong communication skills with students, colleagues and parents.
- All other non-teaching duties per Teacher's Contract.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Elementary Education.
- Valid State of Maine State Department of Education (020) Elementary K-6 or (029) Early Elementary PreK-3 Certification required.
- Valid State of Maine Department of Education background check (CHRC) authorization.
- Commitment to continuous self-improvement and learning.
- Experience with Teachers College workshop model highly preferred, and Marzano's elements of effective teaching practice preferred.
