What are the responsibilities and job description for the IEP Coordinator position at Maine School Administrative District #6?
MSAD 6 is seeking a dynamic IEP Coordinator to join the instructional staff in district, for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will supervise and monitor IEP referrals, development, and implementation. They will assure that teachers are meeting the goals of the IEP and the completion of special education forms including appropriate documentation. The candidate will serve as an integral member of the building's student support team designed to focus on the establishment and maintenance of support and intervention systems that will address academic, social, and/or emotional needs of learners prior to the consideration of referral to special education services.
Applicants for this position must have degree(s) required in major area of study; Maine Department of Education certification with a #282 endorsement (#035 or #079 endorsements preferred); experience related to the instruction of students of similar age and in the subject area(s) to be assigned; demonstrated positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues; and evidence of a strong desire to work with school-age youth.
This position will be filled when a successful candidate has been found. Salaries and benefits may be found on the District website in the Agreement between the MSAD 6 Board of Directors and the Saco Valley Teachers Association.
