Job Summary: To provide an Educational Program for Algebra I and Math Intervention instruction designed to allow each and every student to achieve the State of Maine Learning Results, MSAD No. 27 Learning Results and other requirements described in the MSAD No. 27 Local Assessment System and to provide evidence of that achievement to the student, parents or guardians, and school officials.
Qualifications:
- State of Maine Certification
- Teacher Endorsement: 300 Mathematics (6-12)
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
- Maine CHRC
- Demonstrated ability to provide an atmosphere and instruction to support learning
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.

Essential Functions:
- Provides curriculum, instruction, assessment and a classroom climate in line with the District Vision Statement.
- Delivers the District curriculum to each and every student in a manner aligned with their needs.
- Instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated in a variety of ways to meet the needs of individual learners.
- Administers a variety of assessments in line with stated learning objectives and the District Assessment System.
- Communicates student achievement effectively to a variety of audiences
- Maintains a classroom climate supportive of the learning of each and every student.
- Works cooperatively with administration and other staff in a variety of school improvement efforts.
- Implements all relevant school policies, procedures and regulations adopted by the MSAD No 27 Board of Directors.
- Participates in professional development activities and incorporates new learning into practice.
- Generates and maintains accurate educational records.
- Maintains confidentiality of student records as described in the Family Rights and Privacy Act at all times.
- Generates and maintains all student and management record required by law, District policy and administrative regulation.
- Attends staff meetings, student planning and progress meetings and is available to parents/guardians at times outside of the school day.
- Performs duties assigned by the principal.
- Accepts responsibility for educational materials provided by the District.
- Plans for and supervises educational support staff in line with job descriptions.
- Maintains high standards of professionalism.
- Accepts change gracefully and adapts to modifications and additions to the job that administration may find necessary and appropriate.
