Summers tellers are hired in a float capacity and may be asked to work at any of our Bangor-area locations. This is a temporary position, expected to end in September.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Accurately processes member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and processes corporate checks. Transfers amounts from member accounts as directed and maintains member records
- Provides excellent and professional member service consistent with Maine Savings standards.
- Accurately balances cash drawer and daily transactions consistent with The Teller Outage Policies and Procedures
- Has sufficient product knowledge to enable Credit Union cross-selling opportunities
- May be required to work occasional Saturdays.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience: One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
- Education: A high school education or GED.
- Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
- Other Skills: Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.
- Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, occasional sitting, bending, reaching, walking; ability to keyboard for extended periods of time. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Work Environment: Professional, modern, air-conditioned office environment with a considerable amount of direct member interaction and contact.
