Cashier/Sales Associate

Job Summary

Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier/Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused mindset will drive memorable shopping experiences. We are seeking a local individual interested in working part-time as needed to fill in for available open shifts. Most shifts will be weekend days, with the potential to expand to weekdays in the future as we grow.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly
• Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and managing various payment methods with precision
• Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending additional items to enhance their shopping experience
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette and in person, ensuring every guest feels valued
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and assisting with store layout adjustments as needed

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math for handling transactions accurately
• Demonstrated cashiering skills including cash drawer handling, cash handling procedures, and retail math proficiency
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service with professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude
• Knowledge of antique industry preferred, but not mandatory
• Weekend availability

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
