Overview
Join us at Maine Recycling Corporation (MRC) as we are expanding our new Bottle Bill processing facility in Bangor! We're looking for a Forklift Operator that can operate safely and effectively. As the Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for moving and loading bales and bins of glass onto trailers, as well as assist in other functions of the warehouse. Approximately 75% of tasks will be on the forklift, the other 25% will be physical work.
Duties
- Safely operate various types of forklifts, tele-trucks, scissor lift
- Perform DVIRs on equipment before use
- Identify and report any malfunctioning equipment
- Move bales of various commodities and bins of glass
- Follow warehouse safety protocols, including proper manual handling procedures and heavy lifting techniques to prevent injuries
- Assist in other functions of the warehouse during downtimes
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts with various attachments in a warehouse setting
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials manually with precision
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and order accuracy
- Understanding of OSHA safety standards in production environments and forklift safety protocols
- Prior experience operating Front-End Loaders and Yard Trucks a plus
- Prior warehouse experience with materials handling equipment operation and warehouse supervision experience is advantageous
Job Type:

Shift:
- Monday-Friday, 7:45am-4:15pm.
- No Weekends, No Overnights.
- Paid 30 Minute Lunch.
