This position serves our members by ensuring member education and communication materials developed by the department are clear, accurate, and aligned with current laws and rules. The Retirement Services Project Specialist plans and implements department initiatives and change management activities, and coordinates member education and communication efforts to support consistent and accurate information distribution across the team. The position also supports the development of procedures and training materials. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Member Services for Retirement Services.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with five years of progressive experience, a post-secondary degree and seven years related work experience, OR any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Strong technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications(OneNote, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Forms, SharePoint).
  • Prior experience managing projects successfully from implementation plan development through completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates initiative in pursuing professional development in education principles, change management, and utilizing new technology to enhance learning and communication.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Project management certification or experience using different approaches to project management based on the desired outcomes.
  • Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or other graphic design and/or video editing software.
  • Experience using AI for creating and editing communication materials.
Salary: Begins at $64,480 if annualized with excellent benefits.

40 hours per week, 80 hours per pay period
