Our salon is a stress free, fear free driven salon with top quality service and high-quality shampoos, conditioners and tools. We are 1 on 1 meaning only one pet is serviced at a time per groomer and dogs are not stacked, One appointment in and one out. The salon environment is designed to be as stress free for the groomer and pets alike.
Responsibilities
- Assist our groomer with bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming and styling dogs according to breed standards and owner preferences
- Safely handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring their comfort and safety during grooming procedures
- Perform pet coat styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other basic grooming tasks under supervision
- Support animal restraint during grooming to ensure safety for both pets and staff
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and bathing areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, preferences, and aftercare instructions
Qualifications
- Genuine love for animals with a strong interest in dog training and grooming techniques
- Prior dog setting experience or background as a kennel, daycare or vet technician or assistant is highly desirable but not required
- Experience handling animals in settings such as kennels or equine environments is a plus
- Knowledge of animal handling, restraint techniques, and pet care best practices but willing to train if you do not
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners confidently and professionally
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for bathing equipment or large dogs
- Willingness to learn grooming skills through hands-on training in a fast-paced environment
- Sunday availability
