Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for interacting with customers over the phone both locally and for remote locations in the region, supporting sales, order entry, master file maintenance, and problem resolution. They will also conduct product research with vendors and coordinate with other departments, including field sales. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to pursue additional job responsibilities within sales and operations!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answering and responding to incoming telephone and email inquiries from our customers, including vendor purchase order inquiries
- Expediting Maine Oxy purchase orders and inventory/stock requests
- Collecting payments, and reporting to daily Paperwork Reports
- Greeting guests and visitors to direct them to the right operational channels
- Data entry and maintenance to include customer orders, customer contract pricing, and credit memorandums
- Setting up and maintaining new Cash on Delivery customer accounts
- Serving as point of contact for store personnel to obtain release codes
- Assisting with wholesale accounts, orders, and billing
- Researching products with vendors, including price and availability.
- Noticing, anticipating, and resolving conflicts and areas of opportunity or improvement related to the order delivery cycle
- Ensuring customer inquiries related to billing problems, cylinder balances, order status, time of delivery, etc., are promptly and courteously handled, providing follow-up as necessary
- Interfacing with sales, customers, branches, and other operating areas to provide timely and accurate communication regarding capabilities, delivery, and various other operating requirements
- Performing a variety of other customer service-related duties including but not limited to research and review of customer account balances, invoices, and leases; interaction with other departments to coordinate deliveries and customer satisfaction, sales, and sales support
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good organizational and analytical skills
- Knowledge of all order entry, data research, and other computer skills necessary to service customers
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, customers, and vendors
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to handle conflict, and collaborate within a team environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- An associate degree in marketing or a business-related field preferred
- A minimum of two years of call center customer service or inside sales experience preferred
- Experience using an automated order entry/inventory system
- Computer experience or basic knowledge of computer order entry system

Salary : $44,000 - $50,000
