What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class B Route Driver position at Maine Oxy?
Maine Oxy has an immediate opening for a Class B CDL Driver with Hazmat (Local Route) in Waterford, CT.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive a delivery truck (up to 20-ton) on a set route
- Deliver gas cylinders and supplies to customers
- Pick up empty cylinders
- Complete basic paperwork for deliveries
- Perform daily truck safety checks
- Use forklift/pallet jack when needed
- Keep safety a top priority at all time
Note: This position will also provide backup counter sales support as needed. When you are in the store you will help provide product knowledge and technical expertise to our customers. Helping as needed in warehouse with cylinders and inventory.

What You Need:
- Class B CDL (Hazmat Air Brakes required)
- Clean driving record (no recent accidents/violations)
- At least 1 year driving experience (or recent driving school)
- Ability to lift 25–75 lbs regularly (sometimes more)
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Basic communication and customer service skills
