Class A Driver (AWAY FROM HOME WEEKLY)

Maine Oxy is hiring immediately for a full time, year round Class A Driver with a Hazmat Endorsement position based in Carrboro, NC. 

Schedule & Home Time (Read Carefully):

• NOT a home-daily position
• Overnight travel required: 3–4 nights per week
• Depart our location in Carrboro, NC Monday morning - Return to Carrboro, NC on Friday
• Over-the-road Monday–Friday
• Overtime opportunities (including weekends) during peak season (January through June)

Route Structure:

• Covering territories in NC and TN
• Territories are divided into 4 zones, one zone per week
• Same general area all week
• Flexible schedule

What You'll Do:

• Perform daily truck safety checks
• Safely delivers Helium cylinders to customers; returns empty cylinders to fill plant. Fill, loading/unloading as needed.
• Complete basic paperwork for deliveries.
• Establishes and maintains good customer relations with customers.
• Identifies customer needs to maintain proper cylinder levels to minimize or eliminate emergency deliveries.
• Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.

What you Need:

• CDL A License with HazMat

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 1 year driving experience or driving school training in the past 4 years.

• Clean riving record; No accidents/violations in the past 3 years

• Ability to lift 25lbs to 75lbs and occasionally lift 76lbs to greater than 100lbs.

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather

• Basic communication and customer service skills

• Ability to smell/hear leaking gas from cylinders.
