Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Optometrist at Maine Mall Eye Care, located in South Portland, ME. The Optometrist will be responsible for performing comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing and managing eye diseases, prescribing corrective lenses, and providing personalized treatment options to meet each patient’s needs. Additional duties include educating patients on eye health, maintaining detailed patient records, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals as required. This role requires a dedication to outstanding patient care and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of eye diseases and their management
- Ability to perform comprehensive eye exams and accurately prescribe corrective lenses
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed and accurate patient records
- Willingness to collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
- Active state licensure to practice optometry in Maine
- Experience with modern diagnostic tools and technologies is a plus
