Customer Experience Outfitter (Operations & Fulfillment)
Location: Yarmouth, Maine
Type: Full-Time (5 days/week) | $20–$25/hr
Schedule: 9–5 (M–F or Tues–Sat) occasional weekend events
Start: Immediate
Reports To: Founder, Maine Fly Company
The Role
We are actively hiring and need someone who can step in immediately.
This is a core operations role at Maine Fly Company. You’ll be responsible for making sure orders go out on time, customers are taken care of, and the shop runs smoothly day to day.
This role is built for someone who is reliable, consistent, and takes pride in doing things right—every day.
If you’re looking for something highly flexible or constantly changing, this won’t be the right fit.
What You’ll DoShipping & Fulfillment (Daily Priority)
- Pack and ship all outgoing orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain shipping supplies and an organized workflow
- Ensure every order reflects the quality of our brand
Customer Service & Shop Support
- Answer phones, emails, and web inquiries professionally
- Assist customers in-store with a welcoming, knowledgeable approach
- Keep the shop clean, stocked, and ready
Operations & Event Support
- Support day-to-day shop operations
- Assist with events, workshops, and occasional weekends
- Help with merchandising, product prep, and organization
What We’re Looking For
- Highly reliable and consistent (non-negotiable)
- Strong communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable with routine, hands-on work
- Positive, team-first attitude
Fly fishing experience is a plus, not required.
Willingness to learn matters more.
Compensation
- $20–$25/hour
- Paid time off
- Review at 6 months
