Full-Time Merchandiser
Maine Distributors is seeking an energetic, customer-oriented individual who enjoys a fast-paced work environment and is looking for opportunities for growth and advancement.
Maine Distributors is a family-owned beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverage wholesaler that has proudly serviced retail customers throughout eastern and northern Maine since 1964. We represent some of the most recognizable brands in the industry, including Bud Light, Heineken, Polar Seltzers, Snapple, Sunkist, and many more.
This position is responsible for merchandising our products in retail accounts throughout the Greater Bangor area and surrounding communities. Merchandisers play a critical role in ensuring our products are properly stocked, displayed, and presented to maximize customer satisfaction and sales opportunities.
This is a full-time position, weekend work is a must, with Monday and Tuesday as scheduled days off during the week. This position also comes with a company vehicle.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Merchandising products in assigned retail accounts
- Stocking, replenishing, facing, and rotating products to ensure freshness and proper presentation
- Maintaining products on shelves, displays, racks, and in coolers
- Building, changing, and removing product displays
- Transporting product from backroom storage areas to sales floors using manual equipment
- Planning and managing a daily route schedule
- Working closely with team leaders and sales representatives to provide exemplary customer service
- Executing company, customer, and supplier initiatives
- Attending team meetings and training sessions to learn about new products and promotional programs
Qualified candidates should possess:
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- The ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Flexibility to work weekends as scheduled
