Systems and Network Administrator
The Maine Community College System (MCCS) is looking for a full-time
Systems and Network
Administrator. This position provides advanced technical services and is
responsible for managing the
infrastructure for servers and networks. Duties will include managing
firewalls, Nutanix and VMWare
environments, and networks. This position serves as the lead technical
resource to the Systems and Network
Infrastructure Manager on the design, creation, implementation, upgrade,
management, advanced
troubleshooting and technical support for the colleges infrastructure.
Additional Responsibilities Include
assisting in the development of information technology plans for the
college and MCCS Information
Technology Services, working with faculty and staff to determine future
needs and consulting with the
Systems and Network Infrastructure Manager and Associate Chief
Information Officer of Infrastructure on
new policies and procedures. This position is located on site at Central
Maine Community College.
The Systems and Network Administrator position is classified in the MSEA
Supervisory Bargaining Unit, salary
range 28 (expected starting pay is in the vicinity of \$90,000). MCCS

The Required Minimum Qualifications Include a Bachelors Degree In
computer technology or related field and
a minimum of six years of experience performing network and server
administration functions to include
installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading server
hardware and networking equipment.
Network certification or equivalent required. Years of relevant
training and experience may be considered
in lieu of minimum education requirements on a year-for-year basis.

Cisco CNA
CompTIA Security
VMWare
Fortinet NSE
Sophos XG
Microsoft Azure Services and Infrastructure
The required knowledge, skills, and abilities include, but are not
