Maine Coast Contracting is looking for experienced carpenters who take their craft seriously and want to build exceptional homes with a professional company.

We're not simply looking for someone who has spent years in construction.

We're looking for someone who knows how to build.

Someone who can look at a set of plans, understand the objective, organize the work, anticipate problems, and execute at a high level without needing someone standing behind them.

Someone who understands that craftsmanship and productivity aren't competing ideas.

Someone who leaves a jobsite better than they found it.

And someone who makes the people working around them better.

Compensation

Professional carpenters at MCC can earn up to $50/hour.

That number is real.

We believe exceptional tradespeople create tremendous value, and we're willing to pay accordingly.

Initial compensation will be based on your experience and demonstrated capabilities.

For candidates pursuing compensation at the upper end of our range, we use the first approximately 90 days to evaluate performance in our environment and establish the appropriate long-term compensation and level of responsibility.

We're not expecting you to prove your career in an interview.

We want to see what you can do.

And those 90 days work both ways—you should be evaluating MCC just as seriously as we're evaluating you.

Our normal field schedule is:

Monday–Thursday
7:00 AM–5:30 PM

We work hard while we're at work and give our crew a consistent three-day weekend.

MCC is a residential design-build company specializing in custom homes, renovations, and high-performance construction throughout Midcoast Maine.

Our projects can involve:

• Structural and complex framing
• High-performance building assemblies
• Windows and doors
• Exterior trim and siding
• Decks and porches
• Interior finish carpentry
• Cabinetry and built-ins
• Renovation and restoration
• Detailed custom work
• Construction problem-solving
• Leading and mentoring developing carpenters
