Location: Reno Public Market

Terms: Part-time (3 shifts: 10 - 15/hours week guaranteed). Same shifts every week! Opportunity to pickup additional team shifts each week. Total scheduled hours & shift created to meet needs of staff

Tip average: additional $6 - $8 per hour depending on days scheduled.

About us: Main Vein is a woman-owned business that originally started as a mobile unit in 2020. Started as an effort to support local roasters and bakers during the midst of the pandemic, Main Vein has made the community commitment to carry delicious, organic product made right here in Reno!
Originally operating as a midnight coffee stop for the overnight industrial workforce, you may have seen our trailer out and about at local events such as pride, the reno punk rock flea market, Riverfest and many more!

With our growing reputation as one of the BEST coffee spots in town, we were recently provided the opportunity to start a brick-and-mortar location. Come join the team and make a difference!

About the role: Our staff are the heart of our business. They provide direction &
enthusiasm to support the Main Vein in becoming one of the most popular coffee shops in the area. The perfect candidate will be ready to hit the ground running with a solid background in the coffee service industry, a positive attitude, and excellent team & communication skills.

Salary: Starting pay is $13/hr tips for first 90 days. Performance review and salary increase up to $14/hr after 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities: Creating a unique, friendly & warm customer experience

• Answer customer questions regarding specials, recommendations
• Taking orders, attention to detail for customer needs
• Preparing coffee, tea and other specialty food/beverages
• Receiving and processing payment
• Maintaining clean workspace throughout the day
• Assisting with opening/closing the shop (depending on schedule)
• Comply with Washoe county health and safety regulations
• General oversight of day-to-day operations
• Overseeing cleanliness and maintenance of the shop in accordance with Washoe County Health standards

Candidate Coffee knowledge, ability to prepare a variety of beverages
requirements: Flexibility to work various shifts

• Basic math skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated and inspiring, positive attitude
• Proactive and busy, ability to prioritize accordingly
• Availability during operational hours (may include nights, weekends, and holidays)

Preferred Skills & 2 years of experience as a barista
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent
