Our truck and trailer repair shop is looking for an experienced and dependable Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial trucks and trailers.
We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience working on trucks and trailers who can work independently and take pride in quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair commercial trucks and trailers
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform brake, suspension, steering, and other repairs
- Repair and maintain trailer systems and components
- Identify mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs
- Complete repairs safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate with management regarding repairs and parts needed
- Perform other mechanical duties as needed
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience working on trucks and trailers
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with commercial vehicles preferred
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues
- Ability to work independently
- Reliable and dependable
- Good attention to detail
- Must have your own basic hand tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to safely perform the physical duties of the position
