We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Activities Director to lead and enhance the recreational programs for our residents. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive activities program tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
- Coordinate and facilitate daily activities, including arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, and community outings.
- Assess the needs and preferences of residents to create personalized activity schedules.
- Provide support and assistance to residents during activities, ensuring their safety and engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of participation and feedback to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Organize special events and celebrations that promote community involvement and enhance resident morale.
- Train and supervise volunteers or staff assisting with activities.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in long-term care settings is preferred.
- Background in caregiving or home community care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with seniors and their families.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
