Job Description
Perform basic food preparation in accordance with standardized recipes, department specifications, and quality standards.
Job Functions
- Perform basic food preparation duties requiring minimal recipe knowledge, working under close supervision such as cleaning and slicing produce, slicing cold meats, making garnish and salads.
- Maintain established inventory levels and order stock.
- Monitor quality of prepared products and follow established storage and rotation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of work station and storage areas.
- Consistently apply established safety and sanitation procedures.
- Works and communicates with cooks and kitchen staff.
- Six (6) months of experience as a prep cook preferred.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for duration of shift.
- Must be able to lift, carry and maneuver up to 75 pounds.
- Other physical requirements of the position include but are not necessarily limited to reaching, grasping, bending, kneeling, and twisting at the waist.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
