Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of auto glass technicians, fostering a culture of safety, precision, and teamwork.
- Perform manual glass cutting, fitting, and installation of automotive glass components with accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee the removal and replacement of auto glass, ensuring proper handling of glass materials to prevent damage or injury.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installations adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety protocols.
- Manage ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration procedures post-installation to ensure vehicle safety features function correctly.
- Coordinate with customers to provide exceptional service, explain repair processes, and address any concerns professionally.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including auto estimating, parts used, and time logs for accurate job tracking.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly for on-site visits or off-site repairs while adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks as needed and support auto body repair or detailing projects when required.
- Ensure compliance with power tool safety standards and proper handling of glass materials during all phases of work.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive glass repair and replacement.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration processes and auto estimating software is highly desirable.
- Skilled in manual glass cutting, fitting glass installation, and handling heavy lifting safely.
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including auto body work, vehicle maintenance, and mechanic experience is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
- Ability to operate company vehicles responsibly while maintaining a focus on safety at all times.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience mentoring or supervising technicians preferred.
