Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is a key member of our property management team and is responsible for completing day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and basic inspections for residential and commercial properties located in and around Norristown, PA.
This position requires hands-on experience in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general property maintenance, with a primary focus on completing work orders efficiently and helping maintain properties in good condition.
The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, and can work independently to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Work Orders & Property Maintenance
- Complete daily maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Diagnose and repair:

Plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, toilets, faucets, and minor pipe repairs

Basic HVAC issues, including filter changes, thermostat replacement, and simple troubleshooting

Carpentry repairs including doors, locks, trim, cabinets, and minor drywall repairs

- Perform general maintenance tasks including:
- Electrical fixture replacement (lights, outlets, switches)
- Painting and touch-ups
- Flooring repairs and minor installations
- Appliance installation or replacement

- Respond to routine and occasional emergency maintenance requests
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
Inspections & Property Condition
- Assist with preparing units for:
- County inspections
- Housing / Section 8 inspections
- County inspections
- Perform basic property walks to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Report issues clearly to management for follow-up
- Help ensure units and common areas meet company standards
Unit Turnovers
- Assist with unit turnovers between tenants
- Complete repairs, painting, and punch-list items
- Help ensure units are clean, functional, and rent-ready
- Communicate any larger repair needs to management
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of property maintenance or related experience
- Hands-on experience in:
- Plumbing
- Basic HVAC troubleshooting
- Carpentry
- General residential maintenance
- Plumbing
- Experience completing maintenance work orders
Skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple work orders efficiently
- Good communication skills with tenants and team members
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
