Maintenance Technician- 3rd. Shift M-F 10p-6a

Title: Maintenance Technician---Level 2

Wage: up to $40/ hr. Based on knowledge and experience

Schedule: 3rd Shift: Monday through Friday 10:00pm to 6:00am

Objective:

Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment and facilities to support the safe and food safe production of products.

Duties:

• Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting, testing, and repairing non-functioning equipment.
• Performs timely preventative maintenance as scheduled and complies reports, check sheets, and related documentation.
• Perform building trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and repair racking, ceiling, flooring, doors, and safety systems. Maintain and repair forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
• Follow all GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety policies and procedures. Maintains tools and follows tool-control policy per SQF guidelines.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
• Support continuous improvement by completing special projects.
• Perform tasks/repairs utilizing ladders and scissor lifts.
• Oversee outside contractors as needed.
• Source and order parts as needed.

Qualifications:

• 5 Years’ experience as a maintenance technician in a production environment.
• Working knowledge of motors, mechanical equipment, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Working knowledge of 110V, 220V, and 480V electrical systems and troubleshooting. Familiar with troubleshooting sensors, electronics, PLCs, AC/DC drives and motors
• The ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Ability to operate tools including metal lathes, mills, drill presses and shears is preferred
• Must complete safety and technical training as offered. Respirator fit testing and completion of OSHA 10 Training will be required within the first 60 days after hire.
• Must have good communication skills, able to multi-task and prioritize duties.
• Work may include physical effort, including lifting 50-100 pounds, bending, squatting and reaching.
• Must be able to provide scheduling coverage as needed.

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
