Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our facilities and manufacturing processes. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and systems to uphold safety, efficiency, and quality standards. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure using schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters, and repair or replace faulty components in accordance with safety standards.
- Conduct mechanical repairs including welding, mechanical alignments, and component replacements to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to diagnose problems accurately.
- Maintain facility systems such as HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and painting (including residential painting tasks when needed).
- Supervise or assist with small teams during maintenance projects, providing leadership and ensuring safety compliance.
- Document all maintenance activities thoroughly in CMMS or other record-keeping systems for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Support manufacturing operations by minimizing equipment downtime through quick response to maintenance requests.
- Assist with facilities upkeep including cleaning, painting, and general repairs to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks that enhance operational efficiency and customer service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong mechanical background.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used for automation systems.
- Skilled in welding techniques with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting with tools such as ohmmeters; familiarity with electrical codes is a plus.
- Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately.
- Experience with CMMS software for work order management is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising experience in maintenance teams preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
