Job Summary

In this role, you will assist customers in selecting premium cigars, vape products, accessories, botanical products and related merchandise while providing knowledgeable recommendations based on their preferences and experience level. You will help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting retail environment, promote sales through excellent customer service, and ensure all transactions are completed accurately. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to responsible retail practices will contribute to the continued success of our store.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner while providing personalized product recommendations.
- Assist customers in selecting cigars, vape devices, e-liquids, disposable vapes, accessories, and other tobacco-related products based on their preferences and experience.
- Educate customers on product features, flavor profiles, proper usage, storage, and maintenance.
- Verify customer age and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tobacco and nicotine sales regulations.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately, process cash and card transactions, and balance the register as required.
- Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing merchandise displays while restocking shelves and monitoring inventory levels.
- Receive, organize, and store incoming inventory, assisting with inventory counts and stockroom organization.
- Answer customer questions in person and over the phone while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming retail environment, including light cleaning and general store upkeep.
- Stay informed about new products, promotions, and industry trends to provide knowledgeable recommendations and drive sales.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred; experience in a smoke shop, vape shop, liquor store, or specialty retail environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of premium cigars, vape devices, e-liquids, nicotine products, or smoking accessories is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and create repeat customers.
- Experience operating POS systems and handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising, stocking, and inventory management.
- Ability to learn product specifications quickly and confidently educate customers.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must meet the minimum legal age requirements to sell tobacco and nicotine products in accordance with applicable laws.

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
