Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in our kitchen, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and to the satisfaction of our guests. Shifts will likely be 2 pm to 9:30 pm - or 3 pm - 9:30 pm, with some shifts being 5 pm to 9:30 pm, and some shifts once trained could be 10 am to 7 pm or 11 am to 8 pm.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Assist in the inventory management of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other food preparation tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Be able to open and/or close the restaurant in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cook or in a culinary role is required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that satisfy guests' expectations.
- Experience in catering or dietary aide roles is a plus.
