Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite house made gelato and ice cream flavors with enthusiasm.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks.
- Operate POS systems (Clover) to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and food handling procedures responsibly while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and register operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by always following proper food preparation and food safety protocols.
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently by practicing excellent time management skills during busy hours to ensure prompt service.
- Willingness to learn about and understand various dietary restrictions and sensitivities to better assist customers.
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in food service roles within cafés or retail environments.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Familiarity with POS systems (Clover) for smooth transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods effectively.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
We are a Mom and Pop shop where we make our own Artisanal Gelato, Premium Ice Cream and Macarons. In addition, we cater to customers who have dietary restrictions and sensitivies.
Salary : $16 - $26
