Position Summary
The Day Camp driver will drive for Adults & kids of all ages for Corps Programs, field trips, and other activities assigned by the Corps Officer.
Essential Functions
- Pick up and drop up Day Camp/ VBS Kids
- Driving kids to field Trips during summer camp/ of as required times.
- Pick up people frequently for programs including Sunday meetings, and transport people to camp.
- Keep the emergency equipment in each vehicle.
- Maintain the records mileage of use the transportation (passengers) vans and ready for inspection from HWY Patrol, or CHP inspection.
- Maintain vehicles clean.
Working Conditions
- Must be in good physical health and mental health, capable of meeting the demands of the program.
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead.
- Ability to lift up minimum of 50 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Over 18 Years Old
- Can Follow Instructions
- Driving Test and Clean MVR check
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience in maintenance.
- Have valid CA driver license-Class B passengers.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Ability to read, write and speak both English and Spanish.
- Must pass Fleet Safety Test of the Salvation Army, submit a copy of the DMV driving record with less than two (2) violations (moving or accident) in the last 12 months or a DUI in the last 18 months.
