Front Office Business Manager
The Office Manager is responsible for all administrative tasks in the school front office to include:
- Front office management
- Record and compliance management
- Annual enrollment
- Distribution/collection of textbooks and materials
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Payroll and Accounting Support
He/she also acts as an essential liaison for families, students, faculty and staff in all non-curricular, non-instructional and non-disciplinary academy business. The Office Manager reports directly to School Administration, and coordinates/supervises the work of any office assistants and/or parent volunteers. He/she also coordinates regularly with Meridian Preparatory Academy's Office staff regarding records, compliance, enrollment, budgetary, and communication matters.
Qualifications, Competencies and Strengths
The Front Office Business Manager position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead and contribute meaningfully to a unique organization in its foundational years. While experience in education is preferred in this role, Meridian Preparatory Academy is seeking people who are passionate and committed to education reform.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Prior experience working in a school’s front office preferred.
- Budget management experience preferred.
- Ability to manage and organize confidential data efficiently.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, co-workers and the public at large.
- Strong computer skills utilizing Google Suites, Word, and Excel and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Be a self-starter with an ownership attitude and a strong sense of drive and urgency to meet established goals.
- Possess good supervisor and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results.
- Excellent attendance record.
- May need to lift books, teaching materials, and classroom supplies weighing 20 lbs. or more at times.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to obtain valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with parents and school personnel at all levels.
