Job Overview
Seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Guard to join A security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations. The Armed Guard will utilize their skills in surveillance, conflict management, and law enforcement to ensure the safety of individuals and property.
Duties
- Monitor premises through surveillance systems, including CCTV, to detect suspicious activities or breaches of security.
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter criminal activity and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Manage conflicts effectively using conflict resolution techniques while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of individuals on-site.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Valid Maryland Handgun permit and security guard license is required.
- Must have your own Firearm weapon.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and equipment (CCTV).
- Proficient in conflict management strategies with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
