Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Line Cook role based at the Main Event center in Olathe, KS. The Line Cook prepares and cooks menu items according to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines while maintaining high food quality and consistency. Daily responsibilities include setting up and breaking down stations, stocking and rotating ingredients, labeling and storing food safely, and following all food safety and sanitation standards. The Line Cook works closely with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure accurate and timely ticket execution, supporting peak service times and special events. The role also involves keeping work areas clean and organized, minimizing waste, reporting any equipment issues, and contributing to a positive, guest-focused atmosphere.

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or similar kitchen role in a restaurant or high-volume food service environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety regulations (including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control).
- Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines consistently and accurately.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy shifts.
- Commitment to cleanliness and organization, including regular station cleaning and adherence to sanitation procedures.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to take direction and collaborate with diverse team members.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 30–50 lbs as needed, and work in a fast-paced, noisy environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; food handler certification or similar credential is a plus.
- Interest in hospitality and providing a great guest experience; prior experience in family entertainment venues is a plus but not required.
