Role Description
Do you currently or do you have the ability to design a BESS system based upon 30 percent drawings?
Are you familiar and able to design a system to meet California Title 24 requirements?
Are you a Professional Engineer?
If so, this role is for you!
The Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) engineer involves designing, and optimizing systems that store electrical energy (usually via lithium-ion batteries) for grid stabilization, renewable energy integration, and backup power.
The Energy Storage Engineer will play a key role in the development, evaluation, and integration of energy storage systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. The engineer will work closely with electrical engineering teams to ensure efficient energy system designs. This is a full-time hybrid role, based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, allowing for a combination of on-site and remote work.
Required Qualifications
· Experience in engineering and designing energy storage systems
· Proficiency in electrical engineering with a focus on system design and optimization
· Familiarity with Micro-Grids
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
· Bachelor's degree or higher in Professional Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
· Familiarity with energy storage regulations and industry standards
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration across teams
· Commercial Solar experience
