Job Overview
MBM Inc. is hiring reliable and detail-oriented Housekeepers (EVS Technicians) to support cleaning and disinfection operations at the Naval Health Clinic Charleston, a military medical facility in southern Maryland. This job does not require military service, but applicants must pass a federal background check for base access.
We are hiring for the following shifts:
- Full-Time - Day Shift
- Part-Time - Day Shift
Primary Responsibilities
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Clean and disinfect medical exam rooms, offices, restrooms, and high-touch areas
- Sweep, mop, and maintain floors (hard surface and carpet)
- Clean stairwells, elevators, lobbies, and hallways
- Empty and dispose of trash and recyclables
- Replenish bathroom and cleaning supplies
- Spot-clean spills and assist with accident cleanup as needed
- Maintain cleaning equipment and notify manager of repairs
- Follow all infection prevention and control protocols
- Participate in special project cleaning tasks
- Perform duties as assigned in the scope of the federal contract
Job Requirements
- Must pass a federal background check (DBIDS access for Navy base)
- Ability to read, understand, and follow cleaning procedures and schedules in English
- Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and walk for long periods
- Valid government-issued ID and reliable transportation
- Must be punctual, responsible, and able to work independently
Preferred But Not Required
- Prior custodial or housekeeping experience in a healthcare or military setting
- Familiarity with infection control procedures and SDS (Safety Data Sheets)
- Floor care experience (stripping, waxing, buffing)
