Part-Time Meter Operator

NIGHT shift (Wednesday-Friday) $14/HR

General Job Description:

The Mailroom Metering Associate position is responsible for operating a Digital Meter System and placing correct postage on customer's mail pieces and according to the client's specifications. Overtime is required when needed to meet customer's mailing deadline.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receives, weighs, and meters mail for each individual customer.
• Take mail out of tub and weighs.
• Enter correct customer's name and sub department into computer database.
• Enter postage rate into postage meter and computer.
• Run mail through mail machine for proper postage (postage is based on weight).
• When customer's mail is run, obtain total cost of customer order for billing purpose.
• Stack metered mail trays.
• Other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Qualifications for the Job:

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: 0-6 months experience working in a mail sorting, manufacturing, or production

Able to work in a non-climate controlled warehouse environment.

Able to work by themselves with little supervision. Practice workplace safety.

• Able to use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms to perform the job 100% of the time.
• Ability to stand at a workstation 90% of the time.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend 90% of the time.
• Able to lift/carry 1 oz. to 15 lbs. frequently; 35 lbs. occasionally.
• The ability to work in a fast-pace work environment to meet delivery deadlines.
• Work is performed primarily in a warehouse setting. Noise level is moderate.

Salary : $14
