Position Overview
We are looking for an upbeat, motivated individual to join our team in a hybrid role that supports both the garden center and landscape supply yard. This position involves caring for plants, assisting customers with plant selection, and safely operating equipment to load landscape materials.
This is an active, outdoor position ideal for someone who enjoys working with plants and equipment while delivering excellent customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities
- General plant and nursery care (watering, weeding, fertilizing, repotting, etc.)
- Unloading new plant shipments, pricing, and merchandising
- Assisting customers with plant selection and answering gardening questions
- Loading and unloading customer vehicles, trailers, and dump trucks
- Operating a front-end loader and forklift to move bulk landscape materials
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized nursery and yard
- Providing friendly, helpful service to all customers
Qualifications
- 18 years or older with a valid driver's license
- Plant, garden, or landscape knowledge preferred
- Heavy equipment experience (front-end loader, forklift) a plus
- Friendly, positive attitude with strong customer service skills
- Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Weekend availability as needed
Schedule & Pay
- Start Date: February
- Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, DOE
- Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time
- Hours: 30–40 per week (TBD)
- Schedule: TBD; weekdays with some weekends required
