Job Title: Sales Associate

Location: Kennebunk, ME

Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours) and Part-Time (Flexible, but min. of 15 hours and max of 35 hours) Positions Available. The store is open Monday-Friday, 8:30-6, Saturday 9-5. Shifts are flexible. Ability to work Saturday and some closing shifts (~12-5/6) is needed.

About Us: We are a growing, family owned, vibrant retail pack and ship store located in the heart of Kennebunk, ME, with a large and diverse gift shop to boot. We provide shipping services to consumers and businesses through all of the major shipping carriers, including UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS as well as freight services. Simply stated, we ship almost anything almost anywhere! We also offer office services such as copying and faxing in addition to our large gift shop. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and we value being part of the southern Maine community.

Position Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Sales Associates to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers with preparing and shipping their packages through UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS as well as providing exceptional service in our gift shop. This role requires a customer-focused attitude, a willingness to learn , a desire to be helpful, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Sales:

• Greet and assist customers with their shipping and gift needs in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide guidance on packaging options, shipping services, and rates (training available!).
• Process shipping transactions for UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist customers with gift shop purchases, including product recommendations and special orders.

Gift Shop Duties:

• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing gift shop environment.
• Manage and update gift inventory, including stocking shelves and creating displays.
• Assist with ordering and receiving new merchandise.
• Handle transactions at the register, including processing payments and issuing receipts.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS) is a plus but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and point-of-sale systems.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
