Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure proper installation and maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan
- Conduct equipment repairs using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues related to property maintenance, plumbing, or appliance malfunctioning
- Repair ammonia refrigeration systems and work with specialized HVAC/R systems as needed
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Assist in the installation of new HVAC systems following industry best practices
Skills
- Proven experience as a service technician within HVAC or related fields such as construction or property maintenance
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans
- Experience with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus
- Skilled in equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, and general maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC installations and repairs
- Ability to operate various tools and machinery safely in field service environments
- Mechanical aptitude combined with problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex HVAC issues
- Valid
driver’s license for travel between multiple job sites
