Marketing Director - Law Firm

MBM Law, a Pittsburgh-based law firm with a collaborative team of 15 attorneys, is seeking a proactive and strategic Marketing Manager to lead the firm’s day-to-day marketing and communications efforts. This role works directly with firm leadership and partners with an external digital agency to drive brand visibility, client engagement, and business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy and Execution

• Lead and execute the firm’s marketing and communications strategy in alignment with business goals
• Collaborate with attorneys to develop timely, relevant content including blogs, client alerts, and thought leadership pieces
• Apply SEO best practices, including keyword strategy and content optimization

Digital Marketing and Content Creation

• Manage and update the firm’s website using WordPress
• Create and publish social media content for LinkedIn and Facebook
• Design marketing materials using Canva, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop
• Develop and distribute a bi-monthly LinkedIn newsletter

Email Marketing and CRM

• Oversee email marketing campaigns, including:
• • Quarterly firm newsletter
  • Quarterly small business newsletter
  • Client alerts and firm updates
• Maintain and manage the firm’s CRM database (Nutshell)

Analytics and Reporting

• Monitor and analyze website and campaign performance using Google Analytics
• Provide insights and recommendations based on performance data
• Lead monthly marketing meetings with firm partners, reporting on progress, initiatives, and results

Business Development Support

• Create PowerPoint presentations for speaking engagements and RFP responses
• Identify and pursue speaking, publishing, and sponsorship opportunities
• Maintain relationships with clients and professional organizations to enhance firm visibility and cross-selling opportunities
• Evaluate and manage sponsorship requests

Budget Management

• Develop, manage, and report on the annual marketing budget

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of marketing experience, preferably in a professional services or legal environment
• Strong writing, editing, and content development skills
• Experience with WordPress, Canva, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop
• Proficiency in PowerPoint for business development materials
• Familiarity with SEO principles and content optimization
• Experience with CRM platforms and email marketing tools
• Working knowledge of Google Analytics and performance reporting
• Highly organized with strong project management and communication skills

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the firm’s partners and works closely with attorneys across multiple practice areas, as well as an external digital marketing agency.
