Role Description
This is a full-time, local or OTR role for an Owner Operator based in Savannah, GA. The Owner Operator will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods. Day-to-day tasks include loading and unloading freight, maintaining accurate delivery logs, adhering to assigned routes and schedules, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, and managing vehicle maintenance. This role also requires consistent communication with dispatch and customers to ensure excellent service delivery.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with truck driving, transportation, and logistics operations.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards, DOT regulations, and load securing procedures.
- Proficiency in managing delivery logs, schedules, and freight documentation.
- Self-motivated, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills to interact with dispatch and customers professionally.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in drayage or local/regional transportation is a plus.
- Ability to consistently comply with on-site work requirements and maintain vehicle upkeep.
