Role Overview
We are hiring a Concrete Estimator with proven tilt-wall experience to join us in our Sarasota headquarters. The ideal candidate brings 4–5 years of hands-on tilt-wall estimating, understands Florida’s structural concrete environment, and can thrive inside a fast, precise, in-office team. You will work directly with leadership, our field teams, our suppliers, and our clients to deliver competitive, accurate, airtight estimates that position us to win the right projects and execute flawlessly.
Must-Have Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
Tilt-Wall Estimating Experience – 4 to 5 Years Minimum
You must have verifiable experience completing full takeoffs, sequencing, and pricing for tilt-wall projects.
Panel counts, rebar tonnage, embeds, casting beds, sequencing, lifts, it’s your lane.
In-Office Presence – Sarasota, FL
This is not a remote or hybrid position. You will work daily in our Sarasota office to stay aligned with the team and production schedules.
Florida Structural Concrete Knowledge
Commercial, industrial, multifamily, or institutional experience within the Florida market. You understand local codes, subsurface conditions, suppliers, pricing structures, and how Florida truly builds concrete.
Key Responsibilities
Full Tilt-Wall & Structural Takeoffs
• Detailed quantity takeoffs for concrete, rebar, embeds, lifting hardware, forming, shoring, and erection
• Understanding of panel sequencing and crane picks
• Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and tilt-wall shop drawings
Bid Development & Pricing Strategy
• Build competitive, complete proposals
• Analyze bid docs, specifications, addenda, soils reports, and schedules
• Align estimates with labor, equipment, and production rates specific to MCS operations
Collaboration with Leadership & Field Teams
• Work directly with executive leadership and superintendents
• Clarify scope, risks, and value engineering opportunities
• Support procurement with suppliers and subcontractors
Vendor & Supplier Coordination
• Obtain pricing from ready-mix, rebar, PT, embeds, forming, cranes, and specialty vendors
• Build strong relationships based on consistency and trust
Preconstruction Support
• Attend Prebid meetings and site walks
• Identify scope gaps and risk items
• Prepare RFI documents when clarification is needed
Documentation & Controls
• Maintain estimate files, bid logs, unit pricing, and production rate templates
• Ensure proposals are accurate, compliant, and submitted on time
• Support historical cost tracking and job-cost feedback loops
What You Bring
• 4–5 years of proven tilt-wall estimating experience
• Strong structural concrete estimating background
• Mastery of plan reading, takeoff, and lift analysis
• Proficiency with estimating software (Bluebeam, Excel, etc.)
• Strong communication and professional client-interaction skills
• High personal standards for accuracy, organization, and follow-through
• Ability to move fast, stay aligned, and keep the train on the tracks
